3 TIPS FOR BRANDS NEW TO DIRECT MAIL CAMPAIGNS UTILIZE AUDIENCE SEGMENTATION
Naturally, not every consumer will respond in the same way to being on the receiving end of a direct mail campaign. Thus, in order to give your campaign the best shot at success, you need to pick and choose which audiences you’ll include on your mailing list. The good news is direct mail can be just as highly targeted as digitalmarketing. Thus, the best practice is to select a handful of audience segmentations that your customer data indicates will respond best to direct mail, and then test it out.
LEAN INTO PERSONALIZATION
Personalization is about more than adding a recipient’s name to an envelope - it should encompass everything about the campaign. The message, the special offer, the timing — even the mail’s format should be personalized. When a customer receives direct mail at the right time, with the right message, the right offer, and in a unique format, they’re bound to be greatly impacted (and hopefully moved to action).
ALWAYS FOLLOW UP & TRACK ENGAGEMENT
To be truly successful, you need to follow up your direct mail campaign with another form of outreach — and it needs to be tracked. Be it a phone call, personalized email, or text message, your brand can’t just send out mail and hope for the best.

On the left navigation, click Leads & Contacts > Contacts. Use the search bar to quickly find your contact(s). Search by name, email, or phone number. Check the box next to each contact name. At the top of the page, click Actions > Organize contacts > Set groups. A slide out page appears. Toggle the Add Groups option then choose the group(s). Note: If you need to create a new group, input the name of the group and click Add New Group. Click Submit. Click Notify Shared Members to notify the shared users of a certain contact.

3, 2, 1... Action! Your time to shine! You might think that filming is going to be the hardest part, but we're so good at our job, that it’s actually the easiest. We’ll give you everything you need to look like an absolute pro in front of the camera!

Publish your video! After your shoot, our team will get to work editing your video! Within the next week or two, you should receive the finished product, and are free to publish it to your website, social media, youtube, anywhere you want!

Submitting Footage Once you have everything you’d like filmed, you will need to send the files over via a Cloud service like OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox etc. The files will be too large to email over, so creating a link through one of those services will allow you to send your videos over in their highest quality
Quality Audio Audio makes up most of your video. If your audio is not good, viewers can quickly be turned away. As previously stated, choose a quiet controlled area when filming if you can and avoid unwanted noises, SILENCE YOUR PHONE NOTIFICATIONS! You will also want to test your mic before filming. Do a couple test runs with your camera where it would be when you are filming.
Framing Now that you know the proper orientation, you need to know how to properly frame your subject. Fill the frame leaving some head room and room on the sides, or slightly off center the subject to create a more visually pleasing scene.
Film in Landscape Mode THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF FILMING. When filming you will want to film horizontally vs vertically. This will avoid viewers seeing black bars in your video and allow you to capture more image in frame. Not only does landscape make your video seem more aesthetically pleasing in general, but it’ll also make it more enjoyable to watch when viewed on a widescreen or television
Tripod for camera or phone If you are shooting on a laptop you don’t need to worry about having a tripod set up, just ensure your computer is on a stable surface that is close to face level. It is important your video is stable and not shaky. To avoid this, invest in a tripod compatible with your phone or camera. If you do not want to buy a tripod you can get creative and make your own by setting up some books or find a nice place to set your phone where you are filming that makes sense.
Clean and quiet area with good lighting When deciding where you should film your video keep the following in mind: Lighting, Sound, and Framing. Make sure the area is lit well enough so the camera can see what is in frame. Choose an environment where you have the most control over the sound around you. Film in a clean area with a background that will not be too distracting to the viewer.
What is Needed? You will need a smartphone camera or the webcam on a computer. If you plan on recording through your computer, all you need to do is use the record function on Zoom, and you should be all set.

Become a Total Expert Expert!
Please make sure all information is in their own separate columns in Microsoft Excel. This means the first name will have its own columns, last names have their own columns, and this also applies to the property address, city, state, zip. Remove any duplicate contacts or there will be duplicate contacts record in your Total Expert account and we want to avoid that as much as possible. Total Expert needs 3 points of the same contact data to avoid making duplicate contacts. Total Expert requires you to have the minimum information: a first name, last name, and another point of contact information to upload the contacts (Phone, Email, Full Address). For past client uploads including their loan information, a loan number and a closing date is required.

What are email campaigns and journeys? Both are emails that come from you, originating from Total Expert. Journeys are smarter, as they interact with Encompass. A campaign can not read Encompass and can not move contacts to their appropriate marketing email message.
Getting started with email campaigns and journeys
Which campaigns and journeys are automatically turned on in my Total Expert Account? USA Mortgage requires all MLOs to have on 2-3 auto-campaigns and 8 journeys. These will be active in your account when you receive your first client with USA Mortgage.
In-process emails These emails are automatically sent to the borrower and co-borrower when their loan advances through the different loan statuses in Encompass. These emails include: Application Started, Appraisal Ordered, Submitted to Processing, Submitted to Underwriting, and Clear to Close. Birthday emails These emails are sent every year on the borrower and co-borrower’s birthdays. Anniversary emailsThese emails are sent every year on the anniversary of the loan closing.
What are the required auto-campaigns?
Lead Management These are emails that are sent to your potential and future applicate contacts and vary between cold, medium and hot depending on close to a purchase they are. Online Lead Sources These emails are sent to leads from Sales Boomerang, Zillow, Realtor.com and Trulia. TBDThese emails communicate with the borrower while they search for a property.

Your information is sent to hundreds of local search directories like Google, Bing, and Apple Maps. What does it cost? For $150 per year to be able to post blogs, posts, events, your own Google Review link to send to borrowers, respond to your Google reviews, change your office hours when needed, analytics, and more! How do I sign up? Once your license has come through and you have a physical address, reach out to us to let us know.
